Alleged Religious Sect Enforcer On the Run
John Erwin Kolbek is wanted for his alleged involvement in the 2008 brutal beating of a teenage boy who reportedly violated religious teachings while he was a member of a religious group in Arkansas. At the time of the beating, Kolbek allegedly was an enforcer for the group called the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries. It is alleged that members of the group were punished when the overseer, Tony Alamo, felt they were disobedient. Late last year, Alamo was sentenced to serve time in federal prison. Kolbek remains at large and state and federal warrants have been issued for his arrest.
