Me and the setting sun, a long time ago. The tranquility, the beauty, the silence - this is what I grew up with.
Here I have gathered some example images of atmospheric light phenomena that I have photographed during my atmospheric observation "career" of over 20 years. The general idea of this gallery is to have all the major atmospheric light phenomena covered using my own photos, with a single photo for every phenomenon. Obviously, I still have a lot to do. ( I have some photos just waiting to be scanned, but if you can think of any phenomenon that should be included, please let me know).
Currently, the photos are accompanied by a short general description. If it turns out that theoretical backgrounds are greatly appreciated, I'll consider adding them. This is not, however, my first priority at this point.

Finally, the copyright issue. I have the copyright to all photos shown in this gallery. You may not copy them without my permission. Neither can you link individual photos in your own pages or other applications without my permission, but you can have a link into this gallery page itself. I humbly request you honor these rules. If you wish to use my photos in any way not stated here, for example commercially, please contact me.
