This document is intended to provide an insight into some of the conservation successes achieved by Fauna & Flora International (FFI) and its partners in 2008. This isn’t an exercise in self-congratulation. Our impressive list of achievements in 2008 would be considerably shorter without the many individuals and organisations, too numerous to mention here, who support our efforts to protect the planet’s threatened species and habitats, hand in hand with those who live closest to them. Together, we are making a real difference, as this latest selection of success stories illustrates.
Chosen from among 125 projects in 40 countries, mostly
in the developing world, these stories reveal the extent
of FFI’s global conservation impact, and our track record
as a conservation innovator. They provide a flavour of our
unique, sustainable approach to conservation. As well as
demonstrating to our existing donors that an investment
in FFI represents excellent value for money, we hope that
this information will persuade those of you less familiar
with our work to add your names to the growing ranks of
FFI supporters.
