Since its inception in 1990, under the proficient leadership of Professor P.P. Bhanumathi, the Manipal College of Nursing (MCON), Manipal has progressively grown in its strength and scope. The college presently offers four major academic programmes in nursing, namely

• Basic B.Sc.
• Post Certificate B. Sc.
• M. Sc.
• M. Phil

Manipal School of Nursing under the Manipal College of Nursing administration offers Diploma nursing course.

The courses conducted by the college are recognised by the Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC).

Manipal University offers a PhD programme for the faculty.
