Counseling Centre

The centre is located on the fifth floor of the Health Sciences Library building.  Mrs. Prema M Kumar, Counsellor is available every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm and on other days with prior appointment.

The Student Counselling Centre is there to help you. But first help yourself.

Having joined a professional course, a student can face a number of situations that place several demands physically and psychologically.  There are times when students tend to feel too stressed out.  That is when the student affairs department takes up the counselling aspect to put the student back on his feet.

Certain personal issues can have a devastating effect on the normal life of some students and peer group may not always be helpful. Being away from home, in a new environment, can be distressing at times.  In all these situations, our counsellor can help the student feel more comfortable in the new environment.  Therefore, our counsellor is the person a student can turn to in times of need.

The Centre provides total privacy to students who need guidance and counselling.  All matters discussed are kept strictly confidential.
