Manipal commenced its offering in Management Science in 1999, when it launched the Institute of Management (MIM). The institute offers specialisation in various fields of Management including in Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Health Care Management, and International Business and Information Systems.

The institute provides an enriched teaching pedagogy that includes classroom interaction, case discussions, and seminars by various industry experts and eminent academicians. It also lays emphasis on experiential training, group discussions and role-play, workshops and management games.
