10 Most Awesomely Bad Songs
2. anything by Loverboy is my guilty secret . . . I'll admit to loving U2 and INXS and REM and Duran Duran back in the 80's, but only those who REALLY know me know that I had a major thing for Loverboy and still listen to them on occasion . . . oh the shame! lol

4. I thought I was the only one who loved Johnny Hates Jazz, some of my best memories from the 80's tied up with that album, wore it out. However, I think most of these are just awesome, nothing 'bad' about most of them.

7. People do these lists all the time and "Sometimes When We Touch" is always in the top 3. What gives? The best thing about the song is the high quality of insults it has merited through all these years and lists. Yours included.
Hadn't ever though ot "Really Love to See You Tonight" as al that awful, but that album cover makes me want to take a shower.

9. Sailing might have a high cheese factor, but:
1.) The melody is great.
2.) Nice David Crosby inspired finger picking guitar
3.) The thru-composed piano solo is really very good and radical for a pop song. What does thru-composed mean? It means that the section is not a repeat of a previous part of the song. It is new harmonic material, an individual set of themes that push the song forward, and make a new emotional statement before the song returns to familiar ground (usually the A section or a repeat of the first verse)
So sorry, Sailing isn't a bad song. It's actually a very sophisticated piece of music.
Now, as for Gary Wright - he's the bomb! YouTube the band Spooky Tooth and you will see Gary as a young British lad getting it on. Brilliant band. And when Spooky broke up, the bass player joined Humble Pie - surely one of rock's all time greats.
The Black Crows exist because of the Pie.
Another great song. And you should hear Joan Osborne's version - it'll make your teeth itch she is so hot....
