Description: Kruger Management Unit campground is adjacent to the Zumbro River Water Trail. The campsites are considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. Each has a cleared area, fire ring, and table. Vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available. All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee.

Highlights: Three nonmotorized marked trails start near the campground and day-use areas.

•Trail one is a paved, 0.75-mile Easy Wheeling Nature Trail, accessible to persons with disabilities.

•Trail two is a two-mile trail that allows hiking and ski touring and provides a challenging extension of the nature trail.

•Trail three is a five-mile traverse of the bluffs and valleys along the Zumbro River. This trail allows mountain biking, horseback riding, and snowshoeing. A horse trailer unloading and parking area is located in the southwestern corner of the unit. No horse camping is allowed in the campground.

Horseback riding trails are open May 1st - November 1st.

There are 13 picnic tables available in the day use area. The day use area closes at 10 p.m.
