John Barry Nusum (born March 18, 1981 in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda) is a Bermudian soccer player, who plays as a striker for the Bermuda Hogges of the USL Second Division.

Nusum played college soccer at Furman University, where he was thrice named an NSCAA All-American; he is also currently the school's all time leader in goals scored, with 61, and points, with 161.

After graduating from Furman in 2001, Nusum was selected 35th overall in the 2002 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew. He did not make the team, however, and instead joined the Atlanta Silverbacks of the A-League. Nusum played in 2002 and 2003 with the Silverbacks, scoring 10 goals and 3 assists in 44 games. After two years with the Silverbacks, Nusum joined the Toronto Lynx for the 2004 A-League season, finishing with 4 goals in 25 games.

He is currently also signed by the Philadelphia Kixx, with whom he will play his first season of indoor soccer. In 2005, he joined a new outdoor team, the Virginia Beach Mariners.

Nusum is also a mainstay and captain for the Bermudian national team, leading the team in goals during the 2006 World Cup Qualifying round. He scored two goals to lead Bermuda to a 2-1 win at Trinidad and Tobago in the second round of 2010 World Cup qualifying.[1]

He is the nephew of former Bermudian international goalkeeper and New York Cosmos star Sam Nusum.
