2011 World Series Odds: Red Sox Among Early Favorites
The Giants have been World Series Champions for nearly 24 hours, so we're all obviously thinking the same thing by now: move on already.
Fortunately, BoDog agrees, having published their odds to win the 2011 World Series, and the top-five teams are hardly surprising:
It's worth noting the Yankees were 3/1 favorites to win this year's Fall Classic; the Phillies, 6/1. The San Francisco Giants were 20/1, and the Rangers 24/1.
The long shot for 2011? Same as it always is: the Pittsburgh Pirates, at 150/1.

The Randy Moss Effect, And Taking The Top Off The Defense
Andrew Sharp wrote about the Randy Moss situation over at SB Nation, examining how it all went so wrong so quickly in Minnesota, and the entire column is worth your time, but one bit in particular jumped out at me. Childress said that "this decision was made based on what we thought was in the best interests of the Minnesota Vikings." He also wished Moss the best going forward. Translation: you don't have to go home, but you (absolutely) can't stay here.
Now that one of the NFL's most talented wide receivers is set to go on the waiver wire and, if no one claims him, become a free agent, naturally, NFL beat writers and bloggers can turn to writing stories with the following headlines:
"Could Randy Moss be the next (insert NFL team here)?"

Randy Moss Released: Do You Want Him Back With The Patriots?
Alright, so Randy Moss is out in Minnesota.
Now what?
After Sunday night's game, Moss was awash in good feelings for his former team:
And that was only the end of a lengthy tribute to the players, Belichick, and all things Patriots. So it comes as no surprise that already the "Moss back to New England?" talk is coming fast-and-furious. Do the Patriots want him? Does Moss want the Patriots? Does Moss still want a new contract?
