John Wall Wears Golden Sneakers, Does Little Else In Garden Debut
by Barry Rothbard | 1:57 pm, November 6th, 2010
John Wall made his debut at Madison Square Garden last night and was sporting a flashy new pair of shoes to commemorate the moment: the “Gold Rush.” Wall struggled in the Garden, committing nine turnovers and looking visibly uncomfortable whenever he was faced with a shot more than 5-feet out.
No one can say he doesn’t have style, though. From Foot Locker’s Blog:
“Tonight, John Wall makes his debut in the Big Apple as his Washington Wizards face off against the New York Knicks. Wall will be breaking out his new “Gold Rush” Reebok Zig Slash for the occasion, and the Foot Locker store by The Garden (120 W 34th St.) will be selling 12 pairs of the super limited shoe tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 6th).”
Colin Cowherd is probably laughing somwhere about this.I’ve called the 34th Street Foot Locker twice now to see how much the shoes are going for. Alas, 30 rings later, I’ve given up hope.
