Carl Paladino is not a fan of Joy Behar not being a fan of Carl Paladino. Last week, on The View, Behar joked that NY gubernatorial Tea Party candidate Paladino, who had a child out of wedlock (while he was wedlocked to his wife), could win the election “if all his illegitimate children vote.” Oof, Paladino and his people did not like that one.

President Barack Obama's appearance yesterday on the popular ABC show The View, was seen by many on the right (and some on the left) as somehow "beneath the Office of the President of the United States," particularly since Obama reportedly passed on attending the Boy Scouts 100-year National Jamboree to tape the show. Last night Jon Stewart lampooned that line of thinking and briefly made a troubled nation forget its problems through laughter.

When Joy Behar brought the comedian Andy Dick on to discuss Lindsay Lohan's, she was clearly planning on having a light, jokey conversation. However, while the chyron at the bottom of the screen identified him as "The Unpredictable Andy Dick," Dick ended up being most unpredictable is just how serious he was, giving a sobering discussion on his own problems with substance abuse, rehab, and jail. Behar initially tried to bring things back to the light side (she attempted an awkward joke about alcohol SCRAM anklets rusting), once Dick began telling stories about Robert Downey Jr. leaping over the rehab wall so he could smoke crack outside, there really wasn't any turning back.

Yesterday, comedian Louis C.K. gave an interview on The Joy Behar Show about his new series, Louie. Something seemed a bit off but C.K. cleared that up quickly. He was still coming down from a ton of valium. Why was he on a ton of valium? Well, because he had gotten a vasectomy three hours earlier. The interview went pretty much as you'd expect an interview with a comedian on valium who just got surgery on his genitals would from there.

video Whoopi Goldberg spoke up today in support of Mel Gibson. Faint support to be sure...but support nonetheless. On The View this morning Goldberg said she was unwilling to call Gibson a racist, despite the offensive and abusive language he has been caught on tape using.
