Ayasumonk provided today's header image, a reflection on the cruelty of Russian circuses. Not really.
A_V asked:
Are the guild-earned new heirlooms in Cata going to be the only accessible heirlooms available to level from 80 to 85? Because my partner and I have a private guild on one server for the two of us that consists of just our few 80s and little alts. If the heirlooms are deep into the guild levels, will we still be able to access them with just the two of us running around?
Yes, only the helm and cape heirlooms are currently known to work past level 80, and it might take a bit of time for a two-person guild to unlock them. Bear in mind that you'll likely also have guild perks to boost your experience gain at that point.
Razion asked:
I've asked around and searched, but I can't seem to figure out what's happening to Wintergrasp Commendations with the patch. I've saved 17 of the buggers, which translates to about 800-900 honor or can be vendored for 300 gold. I'm worried that with Cataclysm and the implementation of the actual cap and taking away of the soft one, my commendations will be taken away.
What's happening to WG Commendations in Cataclysm?
They're not obtainable anymore and not used to buy anything, either, but if you still have some in your inventory, you can use them to get 50 honor.
aggr1103 asked:
Since worgen won't have their own class-specific mounts, when they mount up on other faction mounts or flying mounts, will players have the option of flying in worgen form or human form?
You retain whatever form you're currently in when you mount. If you cast your mount spell in human form, you'll look like a human, and likewise with worgen form.
Oscar asked:
With the huge health pools in Cata, I was wondering how much will top bandages will heal for?
Courtesy of commenter Boobah:
- Embersilk 17,400/8 sec.
- Heavy Embersilk 26,000/8 sec.
- Dense Embersilk 35,000/8 sec.
VioletArrows asked:
Is there a date for when The Shattering comes out in paperback? I like compact, flexible trade paperbacks and don't have an e-reader yet.
Amazon says the paperback version comes out in May 2011.
James Koon asked:
Question regarding the Cataclysmic destruction of Darkshore, namely Auberdine.
Seeing as the Alliance's way of accessing Darnassus and/or Exodar from Stormwind was through the harbor, how are fledgling members of the Alliance supposed to make the trip now? I'm assuming it will have something to do with the new area created in Northern Darkshore?
Also, since the Rut'theran Village is now gone (or so it seems from everything I've seen), how is one to enter Darnassus?
Auberdine's place in Alliance travel has been taken by Lor'danel, the new town north of the ruins of Auberdine. And Rut'theran isn't gone, it's just partially underwater. It's still a fully functional travel hub.

Will non goblin and high level goblin players be able to go back to the lost isles and kezan, when there done questing through and have out leveled the zones.
ruggerjj Nov 7th 2010 12:23PM
I think the Worgen and Goblin starting zones are instanced like the Death Knight area. Once you finish it, you can never go back.
Iirdan Nov 7th 2010 12:24PM
Nope. The zones are Goblin exclusive, and once you leave you can't return.
The same goes for the phased version of Gilneas for Worgen.
Ice Nov 7th 2010 12:28PM
Simply No.
You cant even go "back to gilneas" (you can fly there but you just see empty streets basically)
Woif Nov 7th 2010 12:29PM
most likely not, since the realm first achievement for goblin and worgen require you to do the starting quests.
Suzaku Nov 7th 2010 2:54PM
No, not yet. While the Ruins of Gilneas are accessible, the ruins of Bilgewater Port are not.
However, at Blizzcon, Blizzard said they intend to revisit Kezan and Undermine at some point in the future, and stated that Bilgewater Port is only a small fraction of Kezan (as should be known to players familiar with the lore of Kezan and the goblins).

I guess will become the next "Asked by everyone question."
Last one was about Bloodsail rep. After finally MOST people got the answer, this one will become the next one that gets asked over and over again.
Diceman72 Nov 7th 2010 8:39PM
Has there ever been any mention of Goblins and Worgens possibly getting their own capitol cities, such as in a future expansion? It would be cool to have some sort of retaking of Gilneas and Kezan, like the recent troll and gnome events, but on a much bigger scale.
Aikou Nov 7th 2010 12:06PM
seeing that worgen turn into their own mounts. Is there a faction mount that other races can use? So would it be worth my time to gather rep with the worgens, if they wont offer a mount? Or is there one?
linkers746 Nov 7th 2010 12:13PM
Pretty sure Blizz has said that the worgen won't bring any mounts to the Alliance's table.
Wulfhound Nov 7th 2010 12:17PM
No mount from the Worgen, unless we let you ride on our backs, and if we do let you, I'm charging a taxi service. Will it be worth it to grind for the rep, seeing as the faction tabards will work like they did in Wath giving you rep as you dungeon crawl. Just grind tell you can get a Worgen tabard then do randoms. As for there be something worth while, your guess is as good as mine.
Zaber Guard Nov 7th 2010 12:20PM
I believe Blizzard said that, in order to keep the mounts balanced between factions, their will be Gilnean mounts, I'm just not sure what they'll be yet. Worgen will still get Running Wild, but I assume that at higher levels they'll be able to find a faction-mount vendor too.
alpha5099 Nov 7th 2010 1:19PM
@Zaber
Nope. There's barely any imbalance now (the Alliance currently has access to one more mount than the Horde), and it'll be a similar situation in Cataclysm (with the goblins only bringing in two mounts, it'll shift to the Horde being one mount ahead).
Given that Blizzard has made a lot of changes throughout Wrath to the mount numbers, such as lifting the mount restriction for Tauren and giving the Undead a couple more mounts, it's clear that they were concerned over the disparity before. But clearly getting the two factions to have exactly the same number of mounts wasn't viewed as vital, so the one mount disparity will live on in Cataclysm.
But with the added bonus that now you can QQ about how Blizzard clearly loves the Horde more!
Tribunal Nov 7th 2010 1:46PM
@Alpha
The 3 new low level mounts in 3.1 and the Ravasaur in 3.2 fix the imbalance.
Horde and Alliance are now dead-even at ~125 iirc.
Oh, and you want to know -why- those mounts got added, especially the Ravasaur? Because people QQed about a 1 mount imbalance.
So yes, 1 mount imbalances -do- matter and -do- get rectified, to ignore this one simply because "Worgen get something cool" would be really unfair and go against their previous actions.
It leaves non-worgen alliance mount collectors out in the cold.
Tribunal Nov 7th 2010 1:50PM
Actually it's more like ~135 now (still barring all TCG/Petstore mounts)
Probably possible to hit 150 with a combination of retired, TCG/Petstore, and current mounts.
Suzaku Nov 7th 2010 2:55PM
IMO, they should create two Gilneas-themed mounts for the Alliance and give Tauren access to Plainsrunning, with the same functionality as Running Wild.
I'd much rather Plainsrun on my tauren, they're way too large and feel way too slow on mounts for my taste.
Bronwyn Nov 7th 2010 5:12PM
I saw a blue post where they basically said "We don't care"
Wolftech Nov 7th 2010 8:24PM
Just another example of the long line of evidence that the Blizzard Developers favor horde over Alliance.
Crazyates Nov 7th 2010 12:06PM
Question for the que:
Who wants to buy me a time card so I can start playing again when Cataclysm comes out?
:P
Deathknighty Nov 7th 2010 12:13PM
No one.
