If only the world lived on tha intarwebz. Amazingly, that isn't true. The vast majority of people (99.999%) don't spend their entire lives on the internet, so I don't think anyone in real life cares whether the game's been delayed for a month or two.

I dunno about you guys, but I'm not a big fan of hardcoding in assembly.

There is a *good reason* this game series always takes damn near decades to finish.

Give em time.....Diablo III on the other hand....feel free to b!tch...that one just doesn't make any sense.

@SteveoftheGods At least you blame the game (kudos to you). I know people who complain and rip on Gran Turismo saying it's not realistic at all. I then watch them play it and see them trying to make hairpin turns at 80mph or go through an s-curve at 100+mph and gripe because they lost control of the vehilce. Idiots.

In a way I agree with you. Sony shouldn't have announced it so far back if it was going to take this long. I mean yeah, having a lot of cars & a lot of tracks are good but they should (If they haven't) spend that time making innovations to make this game stand out instead of having people wait forever just for another sequal.

Nah, that's not really what I meant. Actually, I wish more games were developed similarly in this fashion, assuming that this game comes out as stellar as expected. If not, then forget I ever really even said this. I'm going to use the PlayStation 3 as an example; as in my own opinion, I feel has superior hardware, with better, more unique looking games. That's just me and my opinion, others can think as they want. Hey, its a free country, unless you're living in the middle-east or North Korea.

Look at games like God of War III and Uncharted 2 for example. God of War III is a little more applicable to the Gran Turismo 5 thing but, God of War was in development for years. I'm certain without question that Stig and his team of developers as well as Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra wouldn't have had it any other way. Either of them could have taken jobs at Microsoft or Nintendo easily at the top of the flagpole. But something was seen in the PlayStation 3. Power that no other console could duplicate. So, they focused all their time and energy into a console exclusive. Building the experience around that hardware. Again, they could have easily defected to Microsoft and Nintendo and lived in glory at either two companies, and still could. When games are given that period of time, rather than being rushed, and focus all their attention in one area of power, rather than spanning it over too, you get unqiue looking games like God of War III. What PC developer even goes to such lengths to make a game like that? To me, the Xbox 360 and PC look alike. They're bland looking, but the PS3 has this totally unique look to it, sadly, only when first party developers develop for it, is about the only time you really see it.

What I mean is, if Kaz has put this much work into GT5, gamers had better appreciate it. He's trying to do what he can to use every aspect of the console just as Uncharted and God of War III did. I've grown tired of developers keeping the Xbox 360 in mind, and cutting corners to make the game multi-platform. Its those times when Sony's developers get to work and develop those exclusive games, that they smother Microsoft's because the PS3 has this visual appeal that I absolutely love. Its passion, devotion, hard work, and sacrifice that goes into it all. Microsoft's developers. I'm not seeing it and 3rd party developers just want to whine and complain, because they can't do it like Sony's can.
