Ryan’s gaming life began with Spy vs. Spy on the Sega Master System, shouting at his brother for hours on Saturday mornings as they clobbered each other with giant springs and buckets of acid. (The fam had an NES, too. But it was so fickle they could only ever get it to work for 14 minutes on every seventh Tuesday of a leap year.) MMOs snuck up on Ryan 10 years ago when his friend suggested they try Everquest. Ryan didn’t fall completely in love at first, but now he can’t imagine his gaming life without MMOs.
