4. You can't do a top 10 Beatles; you need at least 50 LOL. My top ten would include 'I Feel Fine', 'And Your Bird Can Sing, 'Thank You Girl'.

6. Nope! Try getting "My Ding-A-Ling" by Chuck Berry out of your head. Played it at work and 20 people were singing it for the next week. Boy, did they hate me!

7. If you should ask a thousand people what the Top Ten Beatle songs are, you'd probably get about 990 different answers. AOL's picks are good, but check the comments. I would have added some of the early trailblazers like Please, Please Me, I wAnna Hold Your Hand and even Love Me Do; simple yet unique.

8. Although trying to pick 10 Best out of the countless hits they had is a difficult thing to do (due to the so many Beatles fans), "A day in the life" is still outplaced by the Mega-Hit Hey Jude, or All You Need is Love.
Thanks...JM

11. Tell you the truth I always enjoyed their earlier stuff because of the covers and because most of it was "ROCK AND ROLL": McCARTNEY nut droppers-KANSAS CITY-LONG TALL SALLY-I'M DOWN...LENNON-...DIZZY MISS LIZZY--MONEY--TWIST&SHOUT--HARD; DAY'S NIGHT--HELP--ROCK ROLL MUSIC...no matter how many times I hear them; those songs explode like fireworks...bottlerockets and then it's over!HURRY!LIGHT ANOTHER ONE!!!!

12. Though I admit that picking the top 10 is an impossible task, I have but one question; what in the WORLD is Get Back doing on ANY list of top Beatle songs?
And honestly, I've NEVER understood everyone's fascination with Let It Be.There are so many much better written and composed songs

24. See how many times that McCartney is mentioned as the creative force behind a song vs. Lennon? Paul gets too little love and Lennon too much credit for the awesomeness of the Beatles.

29. I actually wrote a blog about this recently. 10 Best Beatles Songs. I also wrote one called the 10 most Underrated Beatles songs, and it had multiple Crossovers.
I must say, I was surprised not to see Revolution on here. I do agree with A Day In the Life though. That song is probably the BEST. My personal favourite (and probably most underrated beatles song) is "I'll Follow the Sun." I can't get past the lyrical irony with such an upbeat melody and a sad message. One of their firsts to do that.

30. The best was "I'll Be Back".

36. "Let It Be", should be in the top 3. "Nowhere Man"? "Taxman"? "She Loves You"? Just who compiled this list? Yoko?

37. .....sorry Rich, but NOTHING on the so called "White Album" should be on a "Best of..." list. Georges'offerings were the exceptions, but the "Lennon/McCartney offerings were sub-par at best. Don't forget that this album came after the Beatles most prolific and (most would agree) inspired period. In order of release; "Rubber Soul", "Revolver" and "Sgt.Pepper...". The next album was,"Magical Mystery Tour" but it was understood that this was a product released in a rush for Christmas due to a growing hostility over a certain presence in the Studio(anyone who has seen the movie "Let it Be" knows of whom I speak. This was also the reason for the disjointed mishmash of songs on the white album. Hostility was at a maximum and the usual team work between George Martin, John, Paul and George H. just wasn't happening. They redeemed themselves somewhat with there final two albums, "Abby Road" and "Let it Be" but anyone who saw the movie, "Let it Be" new this was O V E R. It was a sad thing for a Beatles fan to witness. I was in 7th Grade when I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan in Feb.1964. I was 20 y.o. when the broke up. They were a constant presence through my teens.

41. paul was the most prolific of the beatles. john had plenty of talent but was an incurable weirdo (see yoko).
for evidence of a sense of humor, see "you know my name (look up the number). couldn't believe the boys from liverpool cut that tune.
i mainly recall one blockuster after another come blaring from the radio.
Thanks mom and dad, when the beatles came on tv live, you two refused to let me watch them. after all they were just some flash in the pan novelty act who would never amount to anything. i was relegated to doing mundane homework while the beatles made history. what jerks my parents were.
i believe i suffered irreparable mental damage from not hearing, "i want to hold your hand.
i have 45's of them on tolle, vee jay, capitol and apple labels and i have seen others. top 10 would fluctuate on my mood. lady madonna anyone? yes it is?

45. Hey,I recall "Hey Bulldog",Mr. November 20th 2009 poster! My favorite is "Strawberry Fields Forever".
Followed by "Tomorrow Never Knows","Penny Lane",
"Eleanor Rigby","Here Comes the Sun","I Am The Walrus","In MY Life","Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds",A Day In the Life","For No One".
It's really impossible to pick "10 best Beatles songs"...they're all so outstanding. Those of us who grew up with the Beatles should stop and think once in a while about how lucky we were. The first record I bought when I was 12 was the "Strawberry Fields Forever" 45. It changed my life for the better. I was 12 when it came out,so my Beatles years were from'67-'70. and those were mostly my favorite songs. The Beatles are a rare blessing.
I will love their music well into my next life.

49. so many GREAT Tunes, many by G.H. Dont Bother Me, Roll Over Beethoven(my fav cover of this song), Old Brown Shoe, All Too Much, Northern Song, If I Needed Someone, and Taxman. I think one of the most sensitive and beautiful songs ever written was by McCartney "For No One"
Indeed there will never be another band like the Beatles. A band that was so original and innovative and influenced the times and the future.
