Kathy Griffin: Why Does Charlie Sheen Have a Job?

By Nicki Gostin  Posted Nov 11th 2010 11:05PM
Kathy GriffinPick a hot button topic and you just know that Kathy Griffin will have a fun, slicing take on it. In the case of scandal-prone Charlie Sheen, the comedienne doesn't disappoint, telling PopEater she's convinced that if a woman had caused a similar ruckus (porn star escort, reported coke binge, cops called), "Her ass would have been fired a long time ago."

Speaking to us at Tuesday's opening night party for Colin Quinn's one-man Broadway show, 'Long Story Short,' Griffin calls it a matter of fairness. "How many average men or women could behave that way and keep their job?" she asked, before calling it "infuriating" that someone who "makes a million dollars an episode" on TV can get away with anything.

'Up in the Air' Actress Vera Farmiga and Husband Welcome Baby Girl

By Tracey Harrington McCoy  Posted Nov 11th 2010 09:15PM
It's a girl for 'Up in the Air' actress Vera Farmiga and husband, Renn Hawkey! The couple welcomed the new addition on Thursday, November 4, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE.

The baby girl, Gytta Lubov Hawkey, joins big brother Fynn who is 22 months old. Mother and baby are "happy and healthy."

Farmiga, 37, and Hawkey decided to keep the sex of the baby a surprise until delivery. "We don't know what we're having yet. I just want to have a healthy baby," Farmiga told PEOPLE earlier this year.

The actress, who filmed 'Up in the Air' two weeks after giving birth to Fynn, was set to play Gerard Butler's wife in upcoming film 'Machine Gun Preacher,' but dropped out upon learning she was pregnant. "The role would have meant traveling to Africa this summer, but because her baby is due in the fall, she would have been too far along to make the trip," a source told In Touch in April. She'll be back on the big screen opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the thriller 'Source Code.'

Does Kanye West's 'Dark Fantasy' Make Him Untouchable?

By Jett Wells  Posted Nov 11th 2010 08:51PM
Does Kanye West's 'Dark Fantasy' Make Him Untouchable?Pop-Ed: You can't script the kind of year Kanye West is having. Ever since re-emerging onto the scene after his famous Taylor Swift moment, the MC rolled with the punches and campaigned his way back to the summit with one prize on his mind--the album that would change his career forever. That album became known as 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,' the missing piece that people say would change everything, make people forget what he had said and done in the past, while also fundamentally flipping the 2010 music landscape.

We've grown to learn Kanye was going to forever be Kanye, and that calling him 'controversial' is hopelessly redundant, but no one knew if the mythically-hyped album would measure up. After an early leak and all-around fist-pumping reviews, all signs point to: "Absolutely." It's more than possible that not only has Kanye finally completed his storied comeback but also the album of the year -- thus solidifying his role as one of music's greatest anti-heroes. If Kanye's masterpiece wins over the public after the album officially drops on Nov. 22, does his new artist credibility make him invincible?

Russell Brand: What It's Like Being Married to Katy Perry

By Tracey Harrington McCoy  Posted Nov 11th 2010 07:20PM
In his first interview since tying the knot with pop starlet Katy Perry, Russell Brand revealed just how normal their married life is. UsMagazine.com reports that the British funnyman stopped by 'Loose Women,' a talk show on England's ITV1 channel, on Thursday and said his marriage is like any other.

"It's just a normal marriage," Brand, 35, confessed. "The other day, I put a shirt on and she went...'You're wearing that shirt, are you?'

"I thought, 'That's actually happening? That's a thing off a sitcom. That happened in my actual life. I wasn't allowed to wear it. If she says don't wear that shirt, I don't wear it," he said.

And his multi-day, blowout wedding celebration that took place in India a few weeks ago? Brand said that was fairly ordinary too. "It was just normal," he said. "Everyone gets all worked up about showbiz and celebrity."
