Gawker noticed the @AllFOXNews Twitter account was hacked around 5:30pmET - and it still appears to in the grasps of some 13-year-old boy (we're guessing). Take a look: (Update: It was an impostor account, and has been taken down.)

Journalists Without Twitter or Facebook? Consider Yourself Jobless

Like so many media brands, Gannett's Westchester, New York paper The Journal News is undergoing a massive restructuring. But besides economic woes, things are anything but typical at the Journal. When it comes to layoffs, all 288 employees were shown the door. Then they were told they could each reapply for one of 218 "redefined" positions. One of the less fortunate casualties was indignant, if a little ignorant: “How is the fact that I don’t have a Twitter or Facebook account relevant to what I do?”

Wow, Chris Brown Is, Like, A Total Douche (Updated)

video Larry King's pre-taped interview with Rihanna-beating Chris Brown is in the can, and CNN has released a short preview ahead of its Wednesday night premiere. And despite what had to have been heavy coaching, the disgraced pop star comes off looking like a bigger douchebag than before.

Flubbermantium! Disney-Marvel Merger Sets Internet Geeks Atwitter With Mash-Ups

It's official: according to the AP, Disney is buying Marvel for $4 billion, pending shareholder approval and antitrust review. Some of this surely has to do with so-called 'corporate strategy' and 'synergy' and 'making money.' But all of this obscures the real reason for the merger: so comic book geeks on Twitter can make jokes about it.

Glamour’s Cindi Leive Gambles on Big Model; Wins Bigger

In the realm of women's magazine, readers have grown accustomed to page after page of faultless models airbrushed to oblivion -- unblemished and rail thin, with nary an extra hair, crease or pound. So imagine the shock when ladies thumbing through the September issue of Glamour happened upon page 194 and saw model Lizzi Miller, in all of her size 12-14 glory. But the risk worked and the magazine's Editor in Chief Cindi Leive comes out ahead, specifically in her Power Grid ranking.

Did Ted Kennedy And Sarah Palin Drown Out Katrina Anniversary Coverage?

Amidst this weekend's wall-to-wall Ted Kennedy coverage, and the growing Sarah Palin anniversary retrospectives it was sometimes difficult to recall that Saturday marked the fourth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina hitting New Orleans. Even Twitter seemed relatively quiet on the subject. Speaking of Twitter, it's hard not to wonder how differently the aftermath of Katrina might have played out had Twitter been around just four years ago.

The September Issue: Behind Fashion’s Most Elegant Curtain

slideshow The September Issue, released in theaters this past weekend, follows Anna Wintour and her Vogue flock through nine months worth of planning, shooting, and laying out for Vogue's 2007 September issue — fashion's annual bible. 2007's issue marked the publication's largest issue in history, a stark contrast from this year's September issue, which now sits on newsstands looking as skinny as its creators. But what appeared on the surface to be a movie about the world of high fashion quickly developed into much more.

Andrew Sullivan Calls Chris Wallace “A Teenage Girl”

Fox News Sunday's Chris Wallace interviewed Vice President Dick Cheney this weekend generated lots of headlines for Cheney's stunning admission that he was okay with interrogation techniques that went "beyond the specific legal authorization." But at least one media critic found Wallace's interviewing techniques to be less than stellar. Andrew Sullivan writes on his blog an article titled "Chris Wallace, A Teenage Girl Interviewing The Jonas Brothers".

Drudge Minions Hope LA’s Liberal Media Burns

The lead story right now on Drudge Report is "Inferno May Take Out Los Angeles Media Towers." The alarming headline actually links to an innocuous story from the Los Angeles Daily News, which describes how the wildfires in LA are threatening to overrun communications facilities right now. Can you guess which direction the comments have taken on the post since Drudge started linking?

Aiming for Relevance? Rolling Stone to Re-Launch Website

When the Internet became a viable communications platform in the late 90s, magazine visionary Jann Wenner was eager to play it safe, licensing his brand to Real Networks, a partner more experienced with the online world. Health Care’s War of Words: “Obama Care” Vs. “Kennedy Care”

Opponents of White House efforts to reform the nation's health care system have coined the term "Obamacare" as an effective pejorative against President Barack Obama's intentions. But with the recent passing of Senator Ted Kennedy, the left appear to be fighting back with their own, more honorary term for health care reform - "Kennedy-Care". Will we see as shift in the lexicon and will it matter?

After Scathing Blog Exposé, Tactless Kansas City Journo Faces Bleak Job Search

With the decline of "traditional" journalism, established media figures have seen their salaries deflate and potential promotions disappear. Fearing a total collapse, many journalists have swapped decade-long careers for entry-level positions in other industries. Regrettably, the Kansas City Star's Mike Hendricks took a pompous tone in a job inquiry email and has since felt the true wrath of the internet.

Huffington Post’s Awesome Ted Kennedy – “Mad Men” Synergy

The treatment of Senator Ted Kennedy's death has received almost as much coverage as the death itself. Immediately, there were accusations of politicization from the right. Around the web, there has been the requisite cataloging of trollish actions and reactions, and the attendant pushback. But faced with the challenge of making the Kennedy funeral coverage less, well, funereal, Huffington Post has come up with a unique angle that ties it to the critically acclaimed AMC show Mad Men....
