Would You Wear A Knockoff Of Kate Middleton’s Ring?
Kate Middleton may have Princess Di’s engagement ring, but now you can too! Sort of. Kenneth Jay Lane designed a (really, really fake-looking) knockoff of the ring for QVC. And while the ring is “worth” $55, you can have it for just $39.54! We wish we were kidding.
The product description reads as such: “Blue blood brilliance. Sublime beauty reigns supreme in this stunning simulated sapphire ring. The oval, faceted simulated gemstone is surrounded by a sparkling border of clear, round simulated diamonds in prong settings. A polished fluted gallery frames this ring that shines with regal radiance.” The super-simulated ring is made in China.
Everyone is trying to cash in on the royal nuptials, and we’re sure we’ll be reporting on wedding dress knockoffs soon enough. Says Lane: ”I’ve always felt that any girl could become a princess. It’s my pleasure to offer a ring that has become a royal sensation. Having a long relationship with the British Royal Family, I wish the couple a long and happy marriage.”
