Program Policies
Our content policies listed below play an important role in maintaining a positive experience for everyone using Google products. We need to curb abuses that threaten our ability to provide these services, and we ask that everyone abide by the policies below to help us achieve this goal. When applying these policies, we may make exceptions based on artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific considerations or where there are other substantial benefits to the public from not taking action on the content. Spam and malware: Please keep our products spam and malware free. Spam includes, but is not limited to, unwanted promotional or commercial content, and unwanted or mass solicitation. We don’t allow the transmission of malware, viruses, or anything that may disrupt the service or harm others.

Violence: Speak your mind without threatening others. This means that you can publish a disagreement you may have with another person's ideas, but don't threaten to cause serious physical injury or death to that person, or rally support to physically harm others. In most cases, we find that disputes or disagreements are best worked out by the parties directly involved and not by us. However, in cases where there is a serious and imminent physical threat of injury or death, we will take action. Additionally, don't post extremely graphic or violent materials for the sake of disgusting others. Graphic materials may be used to demonstrate a political or social viewpoint, such as with regards to animal abuse or war; however, be sure that you aren't being gratuitously graphic.

Hate Speech: You can publish interesting, even controversial materials, but just do it without posting hate speech. Hate speech includes debasing or dehumanizing language and incitement of violence or prejudicial action against an individual or group of people based on their affiliation with a protected group. Protected groups are those based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation or gender identity. For instance, you can express discontent with a country, but you cannot dehumanize a people due to their race or ethnic origin.

Bullying: We take cases where our services are used to bully other users, particularly children, very seriously. Bullying may include publishing pictures of junior high school students without their permission and writing stories or comments that seriously degrade or mock these people. We understand that parody or satire may appear to be bullying to some, whereas others may consider the same case to be political or social commentary. We review these cases closely to ensure that we are taking action on bullying and not political or social commentary. In many cases, political or social commentary is related to public figures or people involved in newsworthy events.

Sexually explicit material: Don’t publish sexually explicit images or videos, such as those with nudity or graphic sex acts. Writing about adult topics is permitted as long as they are not accompanied by sexually explicit images or videos, or any material that promotes or depicts unlawful or inappropriate sexual acts with children or animals. Additionally, we don't allow content that drives traffic to commercial pornography.

Child safety: Because of the gravity of the issue, we repeat that we don't allow materials that promote or depict unlawful or inappropriate sexual acts with children or animals. Google has a zero-tolerance policy against child pornography. If we become aware of child pornography on our properties, the content will be removed, and we will report it, its owners, and purveyors to the appropriate authorities. This means that you can't use our services to create, possess, or distribute child pornography, and you cannot use our services to create a gallery of children's pictures with sexually explicit commentary, for example.

Impersonation: Don't pretend to be someone else or mislead others to believe that you represent a person or an organization that you don't. You can use parody or satire to make a point, but be sure that you aren't misleading others about your true identity.

Personal and Confidential Information: Don't share personal or confidential information. We don't allow unauthorized publishing of people's private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, driver's and other license numbers, or any other information that is not publicly accessible. Keep in mind that in most cases, information that is already available elsewhere on the Internet or in public records is not considered to be private or confidential under our policies.

Illegal Activities: Keep it legal. Don't engage in unlawful activities on this product. If we are notified of unlawful activities, we will take appropriate action, which may include removing access to some of our products, your Google Account, or reporting you to the relevant authorities.

Copyright: Respect copyright laws. We will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. Repeated infringement of intellectual property rights, including copyright, will result in account termination. Read more on Google's copyright policies.

Policy Enforcement
If you believe that someone is violating these policies, click the "Help" link. Actions we may take include:

• Removing the material.
• Disabling the user's access to one of more Google products.
• Deleting the user's account.
• Reporting illegal materials to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

Just because you disagree with certain material or find it to be inappropriate doesn't mean we'll remove it or take other action. We understand that our users have many different points of view, and we take this into consideration when reviewing reports of abuse. Although not all reports will result in action, we do rely on our users to tell us about materials that may be violating our policies. Please continue to keep us informed of potential abuse.
