On CNN’s Reliable Sources, Howard Kurtz brought in a panel of media experts to talk about the frenzy of Palin media coverage this past week: her new book America by Heart, the New York Times Magazine profile of her, her new reality show, and her family’s online dramas. Amongst all the buzz about Palin this week, the panel cut right to the heart of the matter when they said: Sarah Palin has to decide whether she wants to be a pop culture figure, or a political figure.
The panel included Steve Roberts, Margaret Carlson, and Matthew Continetti. Roberts claimed “She’s created her own network — PNN, the Palin News Network — through Twitter and through Facebook….She’s really like Oprah. That’s what she’s become, with her own TV show, her own book…except Oprah’s not running for anything.”

The creative minds behind America's favorite cartoon family The Simpsons not only have license to make any anti-corporate joke that is at their avail, they also seem to take full advantage of said license. Take for example last night's episode that featured lots of jokes that many saw as anti-Republican. But it was the fictional Fox News slogan emblazoned on a helicopter that will raise the most eyebrows.

Well, she may be “the next Oprah” of Fox News or ,the 700 club, but there is no way she has the wit, charm, and intelligence to carry her own talk show on a major network.
Politics is a different animal however. If George Bush can elected president–as dimwitted as he was–than certainly Sarah Palin can.

She commands attention, and the lefties hate her. Who gives a crap what Howie and his pals have to say. As per usual, Howie has a bunch of liberals on to discuss a conservative – a not-so-balanced panel with three liberals and one conservative. Just typical of CNN — you know, that “middle of the road” network who claims they don’t lean one way or the other. Once again, proof positive that CNN lies.

Is that what is at issue here, or is it the necessary and admirable ability to use common sense in a way that is most advantageous to putting this country back on a solid foundation? There is no way this ignorant woman could become the next President Or Oprah. She doesn’t have enough of a wide following or people that like her to do either. She isn’t for sure compassionate enough to do either. I am so sick of hearing constantly about this broad, I understand that she is ratings gold for the journalist & commentators but it is because as many people hate her as like her, not because she is so popular. they are the ones making her a rich woman, not one of them probably have come close to earning what she has this year. If they stopped talking about her for several weeks, her appeal would dry up and go away, they made her and they can break her. I’m sure other countries are salivating at the thought of her becoming President, what a way to take America down for good!!!!

they kept comparing Palin to Obama during the last election – yet people always seem to forget that she was ASKED to be the VP candidate. He was running for President.
You’d have to ask the Republicans if they are willing to nominate her for the Presidential shot. But as per Oprah, nah she’s no Oprah, more than half the country can’t stand her to begin with.
