@Gandalf the Grey Basically every game they produce. Don't get me wrong, they make good games, but most of them are shameless rip-offs.

DeeZee s right, they steal alot of ideas lol... well not steal but more like borrow. They have games that reflect console games from Grand Theft Auto (GangStar), Halo (NOVA), Call of Duty (Modern Combat) Skate (Skater Nation), Guitar Hero (Guitar Rock Tour) and God of War (Hero of Sparta)

how do you not know this.

The thing is, until devs like Blizzard come down from Mt Olympus and put games like Diablo on mobile platforms I'll gladly take the Gameloft clone known as Dungeon Hunter. They may not be original, but they're largely filling a void that the other devs can't be bothered to fill.

@DeeZeee Gameloft are used to do (and always do) port of game on cell phone. And it's a fierce market. Most buyer are not gamer and the only way to reach consumer is the title of your game. If you want to survive, you need to do port of console game (prince of persia) or rip-off.

The mobile market have change recently, more buyer because of the iphone, and more experienced gamer. Let's if they keep the same business model (that seem to pay) or evolve with the market.

@DeeZeee You're not the only one who feels that way. And yes, as mentioned by others, until the real AAA developers finally put on ports of their acclaimed original games on iOS devices, Gameloft will make a killing.

EA Sports is probably already killing Gameloft's NFL 2011 with their Madden for iPhone/iPad.

That's funny, I have a couple as well, and don't think they're very good at all. Actually, I should clarify: the games themselves seem pretty solid, but they're all designed around physical controls and employ mediocre touchified versions of them. I am technically impressed by Nova, but I can't play it for more than a minute without feeling unjoy.

@DeeZeee I think that's a fair assessment, their titles are very clearly inspired by major franchises. That's not to say they're not fun games in their own right.

"42 reached the top five grossing list on the store, with 25 hitting number one."

Their Spider-Man game for iPhone is epic. What most people may not realize is that Gameloft is an affiliate of Ubisoft and therefore they know how to roll out tons of good games with consistent high quality.

My favorite developer hands down. Rip offs or no, no one else is making these kind of games.
