Michael Jackson: The Experience DS pirates treated to 'Billie JeaoooOOONNNHHHH'

We haven't heard much about the actual quality of Michael Jackson: The Experience's DS iteration, but its anti-piracy measures are absolutely top-notch. Pirates who have downloaded ROMs of the game -- for ... some reason -- have reported that two major problems have found their way into the illicit version of the game: Many of the game's touchscreen controls are rendered non-functional, and also, oh yeah, a vuvuzela just happens to be blaring over all the songs.

While the infamous party horn adds a little something something to MJ's mixes, it probably makes it a little difficult to keep up with the dancing. Check out a brief, off-screen video of the anti-piracy horn in action posted after the jump.

Free Chibi keychain with Okamiden pre-order from Capcom store

Capcom just won the Okamiden arms race. Whereas GameStop offers a pretty cute paintbrush stylus with pre-orders of the celestial DS adventure game, Capcom's own online store is offering ... this. A tiny plush Chibiterasu keychain, small enough for you to bring with you everywhere, forever, like the most convenient best friend ever.

We'll offer some free advice to other retailers: if you want any chance of attracting us away from this irresistible offer, you're going to have to take the loss and bundle a bigger Chibiterasu plush. It's a burden, we know, but if you want to succeed in this world, you have to give us really cute toys of baby Japanese wolf-gods.

Bandai is in charge of all video game box art from now on

We're not sure if it's too soon to name our 2011 Game of the Year, but we're awfully tempted to just go ahead and give it to Bandai's DS soon-to-be-classic, Fly Mr. Science. Based solely on the box art alone (the full version of which is posted below), we can tell it's going to be ... important.

You don't know flickr user Encaja en Camon, but rest assured that the account in question has some pretty awesome and simple LEGO adaptations of famous games and their characters. Analyst: Walmart could 'expand' used game market

According to a recent report from Lazard Capital Markets' Colin Sebastian, the firm's "industry checks" have revealed that Walmart has begun selling used games in over 500 of its stores. We decided to perform our own industry check, and the very first Walmart we called (in Tulsa, Oklahoma) was indeed stocking used games. The clerk we spoke to said that the store "just started carrying them." Further investigation revealed that used titles are also available on Walmart's website.

The company revealed plans to begin a used game program earlier this year, and Sebastian believes Walmart will "focus on the deep-value end of the market (e.g., games under $20 ASP)," potentially preventing "overlap" with used game juggernaut GameStop. Cheaper, older games do seem to dominate Walmart's used inventory, although we did spot Rock Band 3 for $50. Assuming Walmart maintains this focus on cheaper games, Sebastian believes the program could "ultimately expand the market for used games."

Sebastian notes that getting into the used game business isn't easy, requiring extensive inventory tracking, refurbishment and restocking. He concludes that it's unlikely for other used game distributors to be as "tightly integrated" as GameStop. We've certainly seen big names try and fail at the used game racket before ... Walmart included.

Guy hacks marriage proposal into Earthbound

Video game-themed proposals certainly aren't new, but when a reaction is as genuine as Liz's -- who was just proposed to via an in-game message hacked into Earthbound by Matt -- it must be shared. Best of luck, you two!

Club Nintendo offers Dragon Quest IX screensaver, Mario towels

Club Nintendo has introduced two more choices for your fun-money shopping. Another 10-Coin screensaver is available, this time featuring Dragon Quest IX artwork against a backdrop of the world map. If you're less prone to screen burn-in and more prone to spill your drink, you may be more interested in the other new item: the set of three Mario towels originally released in Japan last July.

Of course, given that each towel goes for 350 Coins, you'd probably be better off reaching for the paper towels, instead of ordering one of these and then waiting several weeks for it to arrive. We don't want to imagine the horror of actually cleaning with one of these. They're too ... collectible!

Yes, another set of Amazon game deals today

Amazon refuses to stop tempting us with awesome deals, hosting an all-video-game Gold Box today -- including some popular discounts that came over the crazy weekend, revisited. The deal of the day is Just Dance 2 for $25.99, representing the perfect opportunity for you to pick it up as a gift for someone else. (Yeah, that's the ticket!)

Lightning deals include Plants vs. Zombies for $13.99 on Xbox 360, and several deals that have yet to be named specifically. We've got "guesses" after the break courtesy of Thrifty Nerd. We say "guesses" because, as repeat deals, it's not too hard to figure them out. Likely highlights include discounts on the DSi XL, PS3, and Vanquish. In addition, there's another whole list of "family-friendly" discounts today for day 2 of Amazon's "17 Days of Deals."

[Thanks, Noah]
