CNBC is the leading source for business and financial news content across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As we extend our content to cover ever more global financial stories, we are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team.

About the role

Bringing a strong awareness of typography to the table, you’ll design and produce new online content and visual themes, working closely with both our online and on-air editorial teams to develop compelling and engaging ways to present the latest news. That means creating storyboards and pitching innovative design ideas as well as producing infographics and slideshows throughout the day. You’ll also make sure we stick to our house style, taking your cue from our US online team and benefiting from their expert guidance. So you won’t just be proving yourself and realising the potential of this exciting new project; you’ll be making a name for yourself at a leading international business.

About you

Creative, innovative and practical, you’ll be able to generate, sell and realise robust and inventive design concepts – and you’ll have the portfolio to prove it. More than that though, you’ll show an ability to efficiently merge those new ideas with existing workflows, all while keeping in line with our house style and best practice standards. You’ll also need a sharp eye for detail and be confident retouching photos and manipulating software like Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and Dreamweaver. You’ll ideally know Flash, PHP and JavaScript as well as having well-developed CSS and HTML abilities – although, wherever your existing strengths lie, you’ll be keen to improve your design skills.

About us

CNBC is part of NBC Universal, one of the world’s leading media companies. We have businesses ranging from television and film production to news and theme parks, so we know a thing or two about delivering great entertainment – and we’re continually improving our offering. At CNBC that means using the latest technology to provide 24-hour coverage of the latest business, financial and geopolitical events.

Please note all applications need to be accompanied by samples of work and/or supply a link to an online portfolio.
