CNBC is the leading source for business and financial news content across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As we extend our content to cover ever more global financial stories, we are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team.
About the role
Whether you’re producing online stories to tight deadlines or writing descriptions of video content for the site and our online television service, you’ll play a vital role in making the EMEA site the best in the business. To do that well you’ll take every opportunity to enhance our stories with videos, slide shows and graphics and help to maintain non-news content like anchor blogs and television show pages. You’ll also build strong relationships with our television producers, making sure our editorial approach is consistent across all online and broadcast channels. We’ll also expect you to think creatively about the site’s next step, so you won’t just be making an impact on the editorial team; you’ll be making a name for yourself across the company.
About you
As well having a keen interest in global financial markets, economics and geopolitics, you’ll be an excellent communicator, working well to deadlines and showing solid research, proofreading and writing skills. Meticulous with detail, you’ll also be a good team worker and confident multi-tasker, staying organised, motivated and unflappable in a fast-paced news environment. More than that, you’ll have a real understanding of what CNBC is all about, together with a knowledge of internet technologies.
About us
CNBC is part of NBC Universal, one of the world’s leading media companies. We have businesses ranging from television and film production to news and theme parks, so we know a thing or two about delivering great entertainment – and we’re continually improving our offering. At CNBC that means using the latest technology to provide 24-hour coverage of the latest business, financial and geopolitical events.
