This was it: the penultimate episode of 'Friday Night Lights,' the build-up to the inevitable finale that will determine the fates of these characters.

If you're like me, this show flew by. So much happened and so much is still to come ... and I can't wait to see the resolution.

For Eric and Tami Taylor, there's never been a more tenuous time. There's no question that they love each other and have a strong union, but they are in a situation that's fraught with consequences. Have they ever been in such a good/bad dilemma like this before?

Is 'Hawaii Five-0' Moving to L.A.? Star Daniel Dae Kim Sounds Off

by Maggie Furlong, posted Feb 3rd 2011 10:00AM
Daniel Dae Kim, 'Hawaii Five-0'There have been some Internet rumblings that 'Hawaii Five-0' (Mondays, 10PM ET on CBS) might be moving to Los Angeles, and they just won't go away. I know, it's blasphemy, right? Right?

Since I'm currently in Hawaii down the street from where they shoot, I thought I'd get our pal, star Daniel Dae Kim, to set the record straight.

After all, if anyone's an expert on shooting here in paradise, it's him. With 'Lost' and now 'Five-0' both based in Oahu, he and his family have called the island home for a while now.

So, are the rumors true? Could they really fake Hawaii on a show with Hawaii in the title?

'Cougar Town' Moment: Jules Gets Grayson to Cry

by Joel Keller, posted Feb 3rd 2011 8:30AM
As 'Cougar Town' leaves the schedule for two months to make way for 'Mr. Sunshine,' fans got an episode that was typical of what we've seen during its second season: some small story arcs were tied up, but it was mostly just the usual vignettes of a day or two in the life of the Cul-de-sac Crew. It just happens to be around Valentine's Day.

Ellie, for instance, says she hates Valentine's Day, but she always loves it when the showman in Andy comes out. Kirsten wants a sexy photo of Travis, and he reluctantly obliges, somehow managing to involve both his parents in the photography session.

But the main "plot" of this episode is Jules' attempt to try to get Grayson to open up. It's a scene that we likely wouldn't have bought if it came a year ago, but now that we've spent a year and a half with this group, it now feels completely natural.

Charlie SheenYesterday, we reported that Charlie Sheen could be reporting back to work within the next couple of weeks. Today, we hear that the rehabbing star is feeling contrite. Sort of.

In a statement released to the media by Sheen's publicist, Stan Rosenfeld, the actor said: "I have a lot of work to do to be able to return the support I have received from so many people. I want to say thank you to my fellow castmembers, the crew of 'Two and a Half Men' and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros., especially [CBS CEO] Les Moonves and [Warner Bros. TV President] Bruce Rosenblum for their concern and support."

Comparing himself to another infamous Hollywood hellraiser, Sheen continued: "And to my fans, your good wishes have touched me very much. Like Errol Flynn, who had to put down his sword on occasion, I just want to say, 'thank-you'."

'Live to Dance': D'Angelo and Amanda Are 'the Future of Ballroom Dance' (VIDEO)

D'Angelo, Amanda on 'Live to Dance' FinalsThough the 'Live to Dance' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) "experts" praised all six finalists, they seemed particularly enthralled by the last act: D'Angelo and Amanda, who'd won a spot in the finals thanks to America's votes. The young duo danced a near-flawless Tango.

"You are the future of ballroom dance!" exclaimed choreographer Travis Payne, after he and the other two judges gave them the evening's second standing ovation. But it's up to America to vote for the winner of the show (and $500,000), to be revealed in next week's episode. Who gets your vote?

'NCIS' Renewed for Season 9 After Mark Harmon Signs New Deal

by Catherine Lawson, posted Feb 3rd 2011 6:25AM
'NCIS' S08/E13It's been a fantastic week for 'NCIS.' First, the veteran procedural drama notched up record ratings Tuesday night for the second time this season. Now, comes news that CBS has officially renewed it for a ninth season.

According to deadline.com, 'NCIS' is the first CBS drama to be officially renewed for the fall 2011 season. CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said, "It's simply amazing that a show in its eighth season continues to perform at such an elite level." She went on to thank the drama's "incredibly devoted fan base ... for their passion and commitment."

News of the renewal came in the wake of star Mark Harmon (Special Agt. Gibbs) signing a new two-year deal to stay with the show. Unlike his co-stars, who last year were involved in protracted contract negotiations with producers, Harmon has signed his deal ahead of schedule.

Mindy Kaling Talks 'Office' on 'Lopez Tonight'It seems everyone -- including those who never watch 'The Office' -- knows Steve Carell is leaving the show. And everyone has an opinion on who should replace Michael Scott as the boss. But Mindy Kaling's contract also ends with the 2010-2011 season, and who won't miss Kelly Kapoor's self-absorbed melodrama?

"My contract's up at the end of this year, too, but I guess because Steve's a movie star, people care more about that than they do about me leaving," she chuckled on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS). Where will she go next -- late-night TV, perhaps? "I'll write jokes for you," Kaling (who's written for 'The Office') told George Lopez. "You take me to a Lakers game, I'll do whatever you want." Careful there, Mindy!
