Bus 'n' Bike

Ride.
Take advantage of 500+ km of on-road bikeways and off-road multi-use trails across Waterloo Region. Choose your bike to commute, run errands, visit friends, or enjoy an afternoon with your family. It's always a smart ride.

Relax.
Travel further with GRT's many bus routes serving Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo. Enjoy efficient, affordable travel rain or shine and forget about gas prices and parking. Relax and leave the driving to us.

Rejuvenate!
Combine the energizing activity of cycling with the convenience of GRT. You will find a bike rack on every GRT bus. Each rack holds two bikes of most sizes and styles. If the bike rack is full you may board the bus with your bike. Look for designated seating for comfortable, easy travel.

Make bus 'n' bike your convenient choice - for your health, your pocketbook and your environment!

Easy on
Remove loose items like bottles or pumps before the bus arrives. Indicate to the bus operator you wish to load your bike.*
1. Squeeze the handle to release the rack and slowly lower it.
2. Lift your bike on to the rack and fit the wheels in the front and rear slots.
3. Pull the support arm up and over the front tire to secure your bike.

Easy off
Leave the bus by the front door and tell the operator you are unloading your bike.*
1.Pull the support arm out and over the front tire to release.
2. Lift your bike and raise the rack to the upright position.
3. Step away from the bus and signal to the operator you are clear of the bus.

*You must load and unload your bike without assistance. Non-motorized, two-wheeled bikes only. GRT is not responsible for personal injury or theft, loss of, or damage to bikes carried on buses or at bus stops.
