V Is for Viv and Victoria's Secret
Celebs and Supermodels Galore at a Couple of L.A. Bashes
Vivienne Westwood crossed the pond to christen her first stateside brick-and-mortar on Melrose Avenue last night alongside the likes of Dita Von Teese, Heidi Klum, and Zoe Saldana. "If I had to choose between New York and Los Angeles, I would absolutely choose L.A.," Dame Viv told Style.com. "We had been thinking about [the store] for a while because of the couture dresses that we make and the Oscars and all that red-carpet stuff that happens here." As for the can't-miss stop on her itinerary? "The Getty Museum, because I think it's obscene to travel just for business and not for fun." Speaking of, the evening's host, Christina Hendricks, was in a particularly celebratory mood; Mad Men has just been officially renewed for a fifth season.
A few miles down Sunset Boulevard, Victoria's Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and their pals turned out to toast the brand's latest swimwear catalog. New mom Miranda Kerr was happy for a girls' night out. "Victoria's Secret has always been like family to me," she said. "And they've been so understanding of how my life has all of a sudden changed."
