Burberry, the quintessentially British fashion label, launched its first Brit store with much fanfare in London last week. Over 300 guests attended the party, including the face of Lancome, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Poppy Delevingne and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. The brand, also well known for promoting young musical talent through its platform, Burberry Acoustics had ‘Life in Film’ perform a gig followed by DJ/Burberry model Tom Guinness who played a set.
Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer said on the occasion, “Music is intrinsically connected to Burberry Brit; it’s very much the attitude and energy flowing throughout the collection and the store. It’s very modern, it’s a little bit dishevelled and it’s distinctively British.”
The seventh Brit store worldwide, Bailey designed it using cutting edge digital audio and visually technology. Located at Kings Street in Convent Garden, the Brit store will offer eyewear, fragrance and watches as well as Burberry Brit menswear and womens ready-to-wear collections.
