National Institute of Technology Jalandhar was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and was given the status of National Institute of Technology by the Government of India under the control of Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi on October 17,2002.
Today the institute is globally recognised as one of the centres of academic excellence, and is reputed for - the outstanding calibre of the students graduating from it - The dynamic and relevant academic programmes - contribution to national developmental projects through its research activities - contribution to man-power development and skill upgradation through continuing education programmes and other extension activities.
For the Institute, the true worth of its activities , in the long run, is the success of its alumni. To assist in strengthening the link with alumni, Alumni Association was formed by like minded alumni of National Institute of Technology, Jalandharto have continuid association with their Alma matter and to have interaction among themselves in addition to assist present student community for their development.NITJ Alumni Association has its headquarters at National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar campus. The mission of National Institute of Technology , Jalandhar Alumni Association is to provide a platform to never abondon the memories, made during the years at this Institute. In an Endeavor to bring closer those who were once very close to each other, the web site serves as a portal for resources and a mode of communication for the alumni.
The Association has a written constitution . Among the various objectives of the Association enshrined in the written document , the major objective is to promote and encourage fraternity among the alumni. The affairs of the Association are managed by an executive Committee which serves to act in accordance with the directions given by the General Body. General Body meeting takes place once in a year while the executive Committee meets at least quarterly.
As our Alumni base continues to grow and flourish, it has become increasingly important for us to provide you with pertinent information and ways to stay connected to National Institute of Technology Jalandhar community in an easily accessible and uo-to-date platform.
