On 1st July 2011, a new attraction at Leipzig Zoo will open its gates - the Tropical Experience World Gondwanaland. The gigantic tropical hall of 16,500 square meters will be home to more than 17,000 plants and 300 animals. It will present a fascinating world, taking visitors back in time to when the continents of Africa, South America and parts of Asia still formed the supercontinent Gondwana.
As every year, Leipzig will show its dark side again at Whitsun 2011, when some 20,000 visitors from around the world are expected at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen.
