Notes on Kite Aerial Photography: Background
Vol. 5, No. 1, Winter 1998 (48K jpg)
Issue seventeen, with 28 pages, was without a declared theme. With this issue a new
editorial team of Craig Wilson and Chuck Henderson faced the daunting task of following in
Brooks Leffler's footsteps. Articles included a discussion of learning curve mistakes by
Bob Pebly, ideas regarding the documentation of rig heights by Frank Louwers, KAPing in
Poland by James Aber, and a primer on useful knots by Brooks Leffler. The issue ended with
a plea from the new editors for the submission of articles and images.

Brooks Leffler returned for an encore performance to produce issue eighteen, again 32
pages. As the terminal issue for the Aerial Eye this issue contained a nice collection of
articles and a truly impressive index of the Aerial Eye's contents over the last 18
issues. It is my hope that Brooks will pursue the idea of reprinting the AE opus as a book
thus ensuring its availablity to KAPers of the future. It was a class act Brooks, thank
you.
