One of the world's finest black and white fashion photographers has to be Lillian Bassman. An exhibition of her work is on display at Donna Karen, Conduit Street. At the launch, guests sipped Champagne debating which photograph to purchase. Round the corner at Richard James in Savile Row, another launch party for Spongebob Squarepants! Here, guests queued up to be photographed with Spongebob.

With my weakness for heels I couldn't get to Nicholas Kirkwood's new shop quick enough. The store on Mount Street is fantastic and the opening party was packed with ever fashionista in town, drooling over the shoes - works of art and very collectable. Talking of art Tracey Emin has a major retrospective Love Is What You Want at the Hayward Gallery. The patchwork blankets are extraordinary, the neon tunnel magical. The show is sometimes quite heartbreaking and very moving.

    St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

    St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

Through a fan fair of dancing bubbles and music, guests arrived to the opening of the spectacular St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. After six years of meticulous restoration and attention to detail it is amazing, from the long bar in the Booking Office to the Ladies Smoking Room. A string quartet played on the magnificent staircase and I did wonder what the Queen Victoria Suite was like. In her day the hotel had only one bath on each floor, she would not have been amused by DJ Cassidy and his dancing girls. There's something incredibly sexy about the place, defintely allow time for a cocktail before departure on eurostar under the station clock or better still check in for an overnight stay, you may never leave.

    Royal Wedding

    Royal Wedding

Having gone through the drama of a few Eastenders weddings recently, what bliss that the royal wedding went so smoothly. Magnificent, spectacular - and how gorgeous was that dress? Well done Sarah Burton. If nothing else it brought the communities together and we had a really fun day on the Square. Children dressed up and performed mock marriages and the grown-ups cheered and wept their way through the wedding. Putting up the decorations was nearly as much fun, and to my delight I discovered that my neighbour is an ex-circus performer, naturally I had him shimmying up the lamp post hanging bunting. I stayed till dusk and went home to discover my normally quiet street was rocking to a brass band.
