Plastic and Rubber Testing Equipment

The unique and varied properties of polymers, plastics, rubbers and elastomers has lead to the development of numerous specialized tests to evaluate their properties. The equipment that has been designed to perform these tests is included in this category.
Equipment
The Elastocon Cell Oven EB 01 is a precision cell ageing oven which conforms to cable and polymer standards. Cell Oven EB 01 has been designed for ageing of rubbers and plastics under controlled conditions. The Elastocon Cell Oven EB 01 conforms to ISO 188, ISO 3383, IEC 811 and technical equivalent standards. The EB 01 Cell Oven is equipped with four cells each having separate control of the air-exchange rate.
The Elastocon EB18 Creep and Stress Relaxation tester is a new, fully automatic creep and stress relaxation tester based on the Elastocon stress relaxation apparatus and triple temperature oven. Suitable for testing in accordance with ISO 3384, ISO 899 and similar standards, the EB18 is capable of much more.
Relaxation Tester EB 02 is a stress relaxation testing in both compression and tension . Relaxation Tester EB 02 meets the requirements in ISO 3384 and ISO 6914. The relaxation rigs on are used in combination with the cell oven EB 01 or EB 07 when testing at elevated temperatures.
The Elastocon TR-tester is computerised and performs the test automatically after the cooling media has been cooled and the samples have been mounted. An automatic release of the samples, after the precooling period, is included.
The brittlepoint test involves immersing the samples into a solution to drop the temperature. After three minutes at the desired temperature, the samples are hit with a striker of prescribed radius and speed. The operator then inspects the samples to see how many have failed. The BP2 brittlepoint tester instrument has a built-in temperature controller, and with the optional liquid nitrogen control, allows the operator the ability to change the temperature and get to the new temperature quickly and accurately.
The Benz TR 2200 temperature retraction tester measures the effects of low temperature on rubber, plastic and other elastomeric materials. Meeting and exceeding ISO 2921 and ASTM D-1329, the TR 2200 allows the accurate evaluation of crystallization and the comparison of rubber and rubber-like sample viscosity at low temperatures.
The Elastocon Automatic Creep Tester EB15 offer customers a well defined configurations of test stations and load ranges for testing in liquids according to ISO 16770 and air according to ISO 899. Elastocon Automatic Creep Tester EB15 utilises load cells and servo motors to apply and hold the loads to eliminate the handling problems associated with dead weight systems.
