Gas Pycnometers

Gas Pycnometers are used to measure the density of a material. They determine this by comparing the change in pressure caused by a change in closed reference volume, to that of a sample under the same conditions. The pressure differential can be related back to the volume of the sample, which allows the density to be calculated.
