To celebrate World Environment Day 2011, the Territory Government has announced the successful recipients of the EnvironmeNT Grants programs.
EnvironmeNT Grants are available annually to schools, community groups, local government and industry associations for environmental projects and educational activities in the Territory.
This year, 13 Territory schools shared in $26,000 worth of grants to hold a range of projects.
One great example is Umbakumba, which will use their grant to run a creative recycling program using discarded building materials to build cubby houses and sculptures for their community.
