TODAY
Beech Grove Promoters Club
What it is: Food, games and music.
Don't miss: The national anthem led by local vocalist Brandon Marks with color guard from the Beech Grove Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts.
Info: 4 p.m., Sarah T. Bolton Park, 1300 Churchman Ave., Beech Grove. 10 p.m., fireworks. Vendors will offer food for sale. Picnics are welcome, but no alcoholic beverages.
Brownsburg festival
What it is: Six days of food and carnival rides and games.
Don't miss: 10 a.m. Monday parade with grand marshal Pearl Harbor survivor Charles Allen. Goes north from Brownsburg High School on Odell Street, west on College Avenue to Ind. 267 (Green Street) and then north to Franklin Street.

Boone County 4th
What it is: Ninth of 10 days of food and carnival rides and games.
Don't miss: Parade starts at 2 p.m. Monday at Lebanon High School, 510 Essex Drive, going south on Outer Drive to Park Drive, west to Meridian Street, south to Washington Street, east to East Street and north to the school.

Carmelfest
What it is: Two days of food, craft vendors, live music, petting zoo, parade and fireworks.
Don't miss: Parade, starting at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Merchants Square, 116th Street and Keystone Parkway.

Conner Prairie
What it is: Conductor Alfred Savia directs the Star-Spangled Symphony at Conner Prairie Interactive History Park, 13400 Allisonville Road, Fishers.
Don't miss: The 1812 Overture accompanied by live artillery fire and fireworks.

Franklin festival
What it is: Kids' activities and music capped by fireworks.
Don't miss: The band Parrots of the Caribbean is a tribute to Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band.

Lights over Morse Lake
What it is: Wide range of events, including parade and fireworks, over two days.

Blast on the bridge
What it is: Music, food vendors, kids' games.

Donatos Downtown Freedom Blast
What it is: Downtown fireworks shot from the Regions Bank Tower, which draws about 200,000 spectators.

Firecracker 6 run/walk
What it is: A 6-mile run/walk around Downtown monuments, with color guard and national anthem by Indiana National Guard, patriotic music, awards for top finishers, and food.

Fireworks festival

What it is: Classic car show, cornhole and ladder golf tournaments, a rock-climbing wall, NASCAR racing simulations. Fireworks at 10 p.m.

Old-fashioned ice-cream social
What it is: The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site will have a Victorian circus atmosphere with stilt walkers, tumblers and live music.
