Communications & Public Affairs

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) Office of Communications & Public Affairs (OCPA) develops and disseminates information to the news media about APA policies, programs and activities, as well as public information on psychiatry and its impact on those suffering from mental illnesses.

In addition to the media, OCPA communicates with members and the general public through a variety of venues, including e-newsletters, www.HealthyMinds.org, patient information brochures, the APA Annual Report and special events such as press conferences and the APA Annual Meeting.
