Looks like even our noble lords are feeling the pinch from higher fuel prices. Mind you, it looks like they want the rest of us to cover the cost for them. Lord Trefgarne, a former Tory defence minister, has recently tabled the following written question to Lord Brabazon of Tara, the Chairman of Committee, whose duties apparently include exes:

Whether he will review the present rate of 40p per mile allowed to Peers in respect of the use of their private vehicles, having regard to recent increases in the price of petrol.

Fortunately, Lord B gave Lord T short shrift.
