Gordon Brown and Alexandra Burke: unanswered questions

Just back from Gordon Brown's last press conference of the year.  Not the most exciting affair, to be honest, though the mince pies were nice.

Alexandra Burke
Alexandra Burke wins the X-Factor but was Brown watching?

One question still bothers me though.

Asked the now obligatory popular culture question about the X-Factor (I believe it is a televised talent show, m'lud) the PM said something nice about the winning song and added: "I happened to hear some of it on Saturday night."

Which is odd, because I distinctly remember Mr Brown being in Delhi on Saturday night, having just flown in from Afghanistan.  Not sure if HM High Commissioner's residence in Delhi gets ITV.

Still, it's Christmas so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume the PM meant to say he put the show on Sky Plus and watched it when he got back.
