Some skilled guys have a Max Payne fan film going on, called Defrayal. You can check out their project at IndieGogo, where you can also see another film they've made. They need some funding so you have a possibility of supporting the project and getting into the credits and more.
They have a Facebook page for it and also a Flickr account where you can check out some test shots for the Max Payne movie.

In light of the upcoming sequel to Max Payne 2, we take a look back to the significance of Max's original adventure, 2001's Max Payne.
When the first installment in the Max Payne franchise was released, few of us where prepared for the impact that it would have both on games and broader. Developed by Remedy Entertainment, the Finland based studio that had been playing around with a few third-person action game design concepts in late 1996 after the successful release of their former game "Death Rally".

Hi all!
As you have noticed the site has started up on news publishing and article writing now that news of Max Payne 3 is slowly trickling out. Patrick (Cypress) that helped out a lot over at WakeReactor (my former Alan Wake fansite) has been involved writing content and working on graphics. So expect more and more great content to come from us at PayneReactor over the next weeks and months towards and following Max Payne 3's release.
Over the next few days we'll be upgrading our system and template, so if something doesn't work, please try again later. I recommend you all to register as a user, you will automatically be able to use our forums as well then when they start opening up towards release.

As I surf across message boards and various news sources to obtain new information about Max Payne 3, I can't help but notice a lot of doubt and comments about Rockstar's take on Max Payne 3. Personally I had my doubts as well but very much like this "new" direction and therefor will do my very best to convince you with this article. Today, Rockstar updated the official Max Payne 3 page with a new set of screens some may have glimpsed in Edge magazine's current cover story article. The screens, including the ones below and more, are now available in high-definition digital format over at our gallery. The official website also reveals more of the artwork now and has a "Latest News" section. But I'm counting on you to return here! Considering L.A Noir is near completion, expect much more of Max in the upcoming weeks.

In addition to the new screenshots Rockstar released earlier this week, it was recently revealed that latest edition of Edge magazine will feature a whopping 8-page article about our beloved anti-hero. Scans are already drifting around the net and many new details and screenshots are now disclosed. If you are still doubting about Rockstar's new take on Max Payne, let this convince you. Rockstar Games have released two new screenshots of Max Payne 3 on their Twitter feed. It shows one picture of Max Payne with hair and one without, so the game most likely introduces the New York Max Payne and brings you to the run-down bald Max Payne in Brazil.

Max Payne 3 is durther delayed. As stated in Take Two's recent fiscal reports:
Publisher and studio owner Take-Two Interactive revealed the delay today within in its financials, noting "the launch of Max Payne 3 has been moved out of fiscal 2010." The company's 2011 fiscal year runs November 1, 2010 through October 31, 2011.
I guess RDR kicking ass and so far selling 5 million copies means they have certain standards for Max Payne 3 to uphold too, so I don't consider it bad news. But then again I'm never that impatient about games :)

After many years of development the creators of Max Payne and Max Payne 2, Remedy, have released their newest game Alan Wake. Some may remember I used to have a fan site for this as well, but I had to close it down due to other commitments.
I've played through quite a bit of Alan Wake and it's an excellent game, a bit spooky, but very good. I'm balancing current play time between that and Red Dead Redemption (and I keep running up to lighted spots in RDR), but they can't be compared so I won't :) Do yourself a favour and check out Alan Wake, you can visit their official site and forums.
