Doo.Ri

NEW YORK, July 2, 2007
By Joanna Rodger
Doo-Ri Chung branched out for resort. The jersey girl's new knitwear came in the form of an easy, dolman-sleeve sweater—paired with high-waisted, pleat-front shorts for a tomboy look—as well as a cropped and fitted button-front vest that dressed down a warm-weather cocktail number. There was an air of the twenties in a drop-waist, flapper-esque dress, but the designer also revisited the forties, emphasizing the waist via elongated skirts and a belted, full-skirted trench. Of course, no collection of hers would be complete without pretty, gathered-at-the-neck tops and dresses; this season they came in shades of khaki, nude, and pale pink.
