Comfortable at both centre-back and right-back, Martin signed his first pro contract last season.
The Switzerland youth international was a regular for Steve Bould’s Academy side during the 2010/11 campaign, making 21 appearances across the back four, and featured six times for the Reserves towards the end of the season.
At well over six feet, Martin is good in the air, and was part of the squad that travelled to America for the Dallas Cup in April 2011.
Martin was formally with FC Zurich and has captained Switzerland Under-16s.
