ARSENAL LADIES

Have some fun and make friends with the Girls Soccer Schools

ALFC in the Community

Arsenal Ladies aim to provide football not only for girls who have a natural ability and who may progress in this area but also to girls who haven't really played the game much before and just want to have some fun and make friends.

We organise Girls Only Soccer Schools that run during school holidays along with weekly sessions that begin once School term starts. Please see information on both of these opportunities below. For girls who wish to be considered for an official trial with Arsenal Ladies Centre of Excellence, please visit our Centre of Excellence page and/or Mini-Kickers page.

Girls Annual Football Festival at Arsenal Training ground
In February ALFC orgainsed their Annual girls football festivals for schools in Borehamwood and Potters Bar. The three hour festivals allowed girls from years 5 & 6 to take part in 7 a-side tournament style matches.

Over 100 girls in 10 teams took part from local schools, including St Teresa's, Cowley Hill, Shenley, Monksmead and Saffron Green from Borehamwood and Wroxham, Oakmere, Ladbrooke St Giles and Pope Paul from Potters Bar. Ladbrooke ended up taking 1st place with Wroxham 2nd and Oakmere 3rd place.

The festivals main objective was to provide girls in primary schools an increased chance to play organised matches and has followed on from the schools programme that Arsenal have been delivering to the local schools. At the end of the festival all the girls returned home with certificates and souvenirs for their efforts for taking part on the day. Well done to all that took part!
