Samuel joined Arsenal on a long-term contract at the beginning of 2010/11.
The midfielder signed from Bolivian side Club Real America, who are based in his hometown of Santa Cruz. Samuel’s vision and technique has led to regular involvement on the international stage and he made his first senior appearance for Bolivia in a friendly against Mexico in 2010 at the age of 17.
In order to gain valuable experience and develop his game, Samuel spent the 2010/11 season on loan at Spanish Second Division side UD Salamanca.
