Survivor Heroes vs. Villains episode 9: Vote for April 15, 2010

The vote for April 15, 2010, Survivor Heroes vs. Villains was one not to be missed.  With Boston Rob and Coach both voted off the Villains team, Survivor fans waited in anticipation if Villain bad boy Russell would finally meet his fate.

The rumor swimming on the Internet is that the Heroes and Villains wouldn’t merge until episode 10.  And that may still be true as the teams didn’t merge this week but there was still plenty of drama for

Survivor fans.

The first challenge pit the Villains against the Heroes for the chance at an Outback Steakhouse food fest.  The challenge was more of an endurance test as the Survivors had to hold on to a wall only using their feet on small pegs and their forearms on the walls.  After several weeks of the Villains missing out, they finally won a challenge when Colby, Rupert, and Amanda from the Heroes team couldn’t outlast Jerri, Sandra, and Courtney of the Villains team.

An interesting twist during the Outback feast came when Parvati discovered a rolled up note in her napkin.  She only shares the contents of the note with Danielle which gives directions to another Immunity Idol hidden at the Villains camp.  The next day the girls find the Idol and keep the secret just between the two of them.

Over at Heroes camp, J.T. has a plan of his own.  Russell and the rest of the Villains’ team have convinced the Heroes that it’s a “girls alliance” on the Villains’ team which explains why Rob and Coach were both voted off.  J.T. wants to give Russell his Immunity Idol in order to save him from the girls’ wrath.

The Immunity Challenge consisted of an obstacle course along with a puzzle at the end.  During the competition, Colby of the Heroes team tells Russell to go to J.T. after the challenge.  The Heroes win the Immunity Challenge for yet another week and J.T. sneaks the Immunity Idol to Russell.  The Heroes tell Russell to get Parvati voted off – but Russell still doesn’t know that Parvati has an Immunity Idol of her own.

However, neither Immunity Idol was needed as in the end, it was Courtney who was voted off.  Now Sandra stands alone against Russell and the other girls.  If the teams don’t merge next week and the Villains face another tribal council, next week will probably see Sandra as the next to go.
