May 2010 is going to be a hot month at the Box Office! Just gearing for summer fun, there are movies lined up for the family, those who love action, some for the kids, and even a few for people that enjoy chick flicks. With so many to choose from this month, plan on lining up at the theater over and over in May.
May 7
Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2 has an all-star cast including Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke, and Kate Mara. Tony Stark played by Robert Downey, Jr. receives pressure from the government to share his secrets with the military. Stark confesses his secret identity which leads to the US Government demanding to take hold of the Iron Man suit. Stark merges forces with allies to protect the technology behind Iron Man.
Bebe(s) – Babies
Directed by Thomas Balmes, Bebes (or Babies) is a documentary inside the first year of life of four babies from different parts of the world – Mongolia, Namibia, San Francisco, and Tokyo.
May 14
Russell Crowe stars as Robin Hood in the newest version of Robin Hood. Once in service in King Richard’s army, Robin Hood leaves to Nottingham following the King’s death. When Robin Hood falls for Maid Marian (Cate Blanchett), he begins his crusade to correct the sufferings that have fallen on the town by the upper class.
Letters to Juliet
A heart-warming comedy, Sophie (played by Amanda Seyfried) plays an American vacationing in Italy. She discovers the “letter to Juliet” which is only one of many left at Verona courtyard. She decides to find the lovers in the “Letters to Juliet”.
Just Wright
A romantic comedy, “Just Wright” is the story of a physical therapist helping an injured basketball player. The story goes from helping to falling in love. Queen Latifah, Paula Patton, Mehcad Brooks, and Pam Grier are only a few of the astounding actors in “Just Wright”.
May 21
Shrek Forever After
One of the hottest awaited shows by kids (and adults), “Shrek Forever After” brings back our favorite character voices from Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, and of course, Mike Myers who lends his voice to Shrek. Shrek makes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin which later turns out to be a mistake. Shrek lands in a place where ogres are hunted and he must find a way to get back to his beloved Fiona.
MacGruber
MacGruber (Will Forte) is called back as a special operative to fight his archenemy
