Famously the first player to graduate through the MK Dons Academy into the first team, Sam is the darling of the MK-faithful. Although only 22-years-old the 2011/12 campaign will be Sam's seventh season involved with the Dons' first team.
Sam's true emergence began in the 2008/09 season when his 13 goals helped the Dons to the League 1 play-offs. International recognition quickly followed, as Sam was named in the England squad for the 2010 FIFI Under-20 World Cup, where he made two appearances.
While frustrated by injuries during the 2009/10 campaign, Sam still managed to add to his growing reputation by scoring 10 goals in 28 appearances and the Club acted swiftly to secure him on a long-term contract.
With an eye for goal, pace in abundance and a natural-born finisher Sam finished last year as the top goal scorer with 14, including his first professional hat-trick in the 3-1 win over Colchester United, to his name, which attracted a Club record bid from Peterborough United in the summer.
Much to the delight of Dons supporters Sam, who joined the Club as a 14-year-old, rejected the move to the Championship declaring his ambition to get MK Dons promoted. He already has over 100 appearances for the Dons to his name.
