MP3 gameplay to be revealed at FirstLook event?

Written by Patrick Tuesday, 30 August 2011 11:44

Since it's first edition in 2008, First Look has been the game event of the Benelux. On Firstlook the game- and hardware-industry are able to show their line-up for the very first time to the Dutch and Belgian consumers and media. Dozens of booths and several theaters give a limited amount of gamers the oppurtunity to see, feel and play with these new games and products for two days straight. The event will take place October 1-2.

Among the exhibitors are Electronic Arts (Battlefield 3), Microsoft (Forza Motorsport 4) and more importantly Rockstar. While it's currently unknown what game they will be showcasing, we know better. Could it be? Either way I'm arraging to go there. If I succeed, expect full coverage of their booth.

Two Brand New Max Payne 3 Screens

Last Updated on Monday, 29 August 2011 21:40 Written by Cypress Monday, 29 August 2011 21:19

It's awfully quiet around Max Payne 3. Rumour has it, the game was recently demonstrated behind closed doors at GamesCom in Germany. Luckily Rockstar broke the silence today promising us to "Expect a lot of news in the next few months.." and alltogether released two amazing new screenshots. Usually I'm not that fond of speculation, but I honestly believe Rockstar's going to let the upcoming holiday season slide and is gearing up for a spring 2012 release. For now, the new screenshots are below for your viewing pleasure!

Max Payne in the shadows over Vinnie

Some skilled guys have a Max Payne fan film going on, called Defrayal. You can check out their project at IndieGogo, where you can also see another film they've made. They need some funding so you have a possibility of supporting the project and getting into the credits and more.

They have a Facebook page for it and also a Flickr account where you can check out some test shots for the Max Payne movie.

Updated 15th August 2011: They have now released a trailer, check it out at YouTube.

Max Payne Retrospective

Last Updated on Monday, 29 August 2011 22:04 Written by Cypress Wednesday, 04 May 2011 21:05

In light of the upcoming sequel to Max Payne 2, we take a look back to the significance of Max's original adventure, 2001's Max Payne.

When the first installment in the Max Payne franchise was released, few of us were prepared for the impact that it would have both on gaming and broader. Developed by Remedy Entertainment, the studio based in Finland that had been playing around with a few third-person action game design concepts in late 1996 after the successful release of their former game "Death Rally".

Today, Rockstar updated the official Max Payne 3 page with a new set of screens some may have glimpsed in Edge magazine's current cover story article. The screens, including the ones below and more, are now available in high-definition digital format over at our gallery. Rockstar Games have released two new screenshots of Max Payne 3 on their Twitter feed. It shows one picture of Max Payne with hair and one without, so the game most likely introduces the New York Max Payne and brings you to the run-down bald Max Payne in Brazil.
