Dreamboat boyband JLS (aka Jack the Lad Swing, whatever that means) were catapulted from South East London into the star-spangled stratosphere when they made it to the final of 2008’s X Factor competition.
Top pop totty Oritsé, Aston, JB and Marvin won the nation’s love with their heart-wrenching covers of classics such as Take That’s A Million Love Songs, Boyz II Men’s I’ll Make Love to You and Westlife’s Flying Without Wings on the show. An ever-growing crowd of screaming girl fans sealed their fate as popular favourites.
Although they were runners-up in the competition, the foxy foursome went on to score a number one summer hit with Beat Again. In fact, they were the second non winning act of The X Factor to achieve a number-one single.
They're now one of the biggest bands in the UK and they've proven over and over how appealing they are. JLS, we salute you!
